How do I know what level my child should be in?

We are happy to arrange a free assessment however sometimes we can assist with an appropriate level before hand so you do not loose your potential spot for registration purposes.

Beginner - still in need of floatation devices, learning basic skills for floats and glides, building confidence and laying a foundation for swimming
Lifesaving Society Levels: Preschool A, Preschool B, Swimmer 1, Swimmer 2
Pre-Junior - can float and glide on their own for short distances. Learning front and back crawl for short distances. Being introduced to treading water, and dives.
Lifesaving Society Levels: Preschool B, Preschool C, Preschool D, Swimmer 2, Swimmer 3
Junior - comfortable in the deep water. Able to do 1 length of front and back crawl without assistance.
Lifesaving Society Levels: Preschool D, Swimmer 4, Swimmer 5
Intermediate - Able to do multiple lengths of front crawl and back crawl. Starting to learn the butterfly
Lifesaving Society Levels: Swimmer 6, Swimmer 7, Swimmer 8, Swimmer 9
Senior - Able to do multiple lengths of front crawl and back crawl. Can do butterfly and is learning Whipkick / Breaststroke
Lifesaving Society Levels: Swimmer 10, Bronze Star
Master and Royal Olympic - Able to do all 4 strokes, now learning to apply technique to improve endurance and speed.
